Experimental Levitation - Take 1

So I'm on another 'push my boundaries' kick! It's no secret that I've recently been highly influenced by two amazing photographers, Brooke Shaden and Miss Aniela. (Please click on their names to see the beauty they create). The following photograph is my first Levitation experiment. I'm not exactly pleased with the background and the composition of my subject but that wasn't my main focus. My focus was purely technical and boy did I learn a lot!

Stay tuned for more Levitation photographs by SACS.

Captured...

...I thought I had more words than I do....
...Right now... I'm silent...
...Right now... I listen...

Commissioned Art Work - 'With Honor'

Art in the Bar II was a major success for not only me but for all the artists and hosts! During the show I met quite a few people who loved my work but what I had there wasn't quite what they were looking for. So the next best thing was for me to step up my PR and let them know I absolutely create new work upon their requests. This whole weeks work has been dedicated to creating for my new art viewers! Thank you all who came out to support all of us at Art in the Bar II! I can't wait for the next one.

Here's an example of a final art piece I created this week after talking over details with a new client.

Title - 'With Honor'
Dimensions - 18.25 x 14.5 inches
Medium - Photograph on Wood with Gel Medium
***I print my final art work at home using 'Big Mamma' - Professional Epson 3880 Printer with Epson Ultrachrome K3 Inks, which are pigment-base inks.
***I also build my wood pieces and frames out of raw wood that I then sand, stain and finish with my own two hands.

In two days I'll be joining roughly 40 other artists in an art show at The Knitting Factory in downtown Boise. I'll be showing mostly photography but I've thrown in a couple paintings and even something new (which will remain a surprise until the show). I'm getting more excited as it comes closer but I'm sure the nerves will kick in soon. Please come on down and get yourself some sweet art for your home!!!

Thank you Wayne Crans and Ellen Deangelis of Dead Bird Gallery for putting on this awesome event. You two are exactly what Boise needs... and of course what I need to get that fire lit under my you know what! Again, thank you!
