BUM - Creepy Sweet - take 2

I got to spend one more day with BUM and introduced him to my great friend and model Gretchen. She immediately took to him in a totally different way than I expected... (One more example of why expectations are no good:) Anyway, Gretchen and BUM formed a mother / son relationship! It was a bond that I'm so happy to have witnessed. BUM was very well behaved again, he sparked a super creepy side just for a moment but I'm not going open that door until I get to spend a little more time with him.

Here are a few of my favorites!

BUM - Creepy Sweet - take 1

Meet BUM. I have the greatest opportunity to hang out with this dapper fellow for a couple of days. Today was play day. I wanted to spend a short time getting to know BUM so we took it easy. We hung out with the pups in the back yard, played some music, chatted briefly and snapped a hand full of candid photographs! Here are some of my favorites from todays adventure.

He was a little shy at first... Hiding behind a tree.
This is when I thought he was going to be creepy, but...

It's all good! Hey buddy!

It didn't take long before BUM & Daphne became best friends.

He noticed our pretty statue lady and wanted to play her some music.

BUM so far has only impressed me with his kindness and googy eyes! I have heard that he sometimes behaves differently than what I have witnessed. Tomorrow is a new day. We will be going out and photographing with an absolutely fantastic model!!!
You never know what's going to come of it!
(:Keep in touch:)

Ironman - Pan

Last weekend was the Boise Ironman and yes, I was there with my camera! I decided it would be a perfect day to work on my panning. We had a nice cloud cover so I could slow my shutter just enough to give a slight blurred background. I focused on my moving subjects using the back-focus button (so helpful Neil, thank you) and tried my best to pan at the same speed as the athletes. Here are a few of my favorites taken right before the finish! Some emotional times in this section:)

One last push...

Focussed & panned on dude in front...
He's a hair fast than the dude in the back!

I just dig this one!

Special moment captured!
Ironman racer giving love to his supper cute & supportive family!

Bigger Than Cancer - Campaign Flyer

Here is the ad and flyer I designed for Melissa Eldredge's 'Bigger Than' campaign! Please, I give you permission to snag this image off my blog and post it in an email to all of your friends and family. Social networking is proving to be one of the best ways to spread the word and to make things happen! Any little help you can give is huge. Even if it's a healthy shout out on my friends campaign fan page which you can link to here:

During 'Art in the Bar lll'

The show was a success! I made a lot of connections, new friends and future clients! Thank you all who were involved in the show and all who came down to support your local artists. I can't wait for the next one! Here are a few photo's I took June 4th at the Knitting Factory during Art in the Bar lll (put on by Dead Bird Gallery). This is the 3rd art show I've been involved with, 2nd in Boise. What can I say, I love what I do! Very lucky!

Welcome to my display and spread!

I decided to simplify for this show so I created less finished pieces but added more powerful images!
This particular art show makes my brain work in ways I never knew it could!

I added Belt Buckles, increased my magnet diversity and numbers and printed/matted more edgy photographs.

SACS original photographs placed in Belt Buckle blanks and filled with Envirotex Lite Resin.

View of the Knitting Factory filled with 40 artists and their work... Upstairs and downstairs!

When the right tunes come on... you just gotta dance!!!

Wayne Crans - one of the creators of Art in the Bar. Also fellow photographer/artist!!!

A friend of another artist who was set up across the way from me.
This guy was hilarious and very supportive and nice:) Good times!

SACS, Mom, Dad & Nephew!

Cousins!

Mom-in-law and wife!

Friends!!!

My buddy/artist friend Candy Wilson and her boyfriend (my helper friend!!!)!
End of the night, time to pack up and go!

Thank you to everyone again who I didn't remember to snap a photo with!
